Christmas Craft Ideas on the Internet

By Robin Nobles (11/27/98)

During the Christmas season, many of us are on the look out for unique and interesting craft ideas, whether for our children to make, to be given away as gifts, or to be used as decorations for our home.

We'll begin our search at craftnetvillage.com at their Project Library. Click on Seasonal Crafts for craft ideas like a 3D Christmas Angel, Matchbox Mouse Ornament, Holiday Stars Mosaic Hurricane Candle, and Fluffy the Snowman.

A delightful site with numerous craft ideas for children is Making Friends and Other Crafts for Kids. You'll find Christmas bead patterns to make angels or toy soldiers, and patterns to make angel, nativity, and Bible paper doll friends.

How would you like to have 101 great gift basket ideas? Or, ideas for gift tags you can make yourself? Visit Internet Craft Fair's Christmas Page for craft projects such as Recycled Light-Bulb Snowman, Reindeer Puzzle Pin, Clothespin Christmas Tree, or Eggy Angel.

Visit Aleene's Creative Living website for craft ideas as seen on the Creative Living television show. Learn how to make Crystal Angels, Angel Wind Chimes, Teacher Apple Bells, and more.

I-Craft offers an excellent selection of craft ideas, such as a 3D Star Beaded Ornament, a Homespun Holiday Wreath, or a Christmas Tree Card. Or, make an angel or a Santa pin to wear during the holiday season.

Frosted Glass Candle Holders, Seashell Angels, or a Snowman Pin are just a few of the craft ideas offered at Family Fun Magazine's Craft Index.

At HomeArt for the Holidays, click on Pretty Things to Make this Christmas for ideas like Edible Loot, Fruit and Nut Place Cards, or Sponge Painted Napkins. The entire HomeArt site is full of entertaining guides, party menus, recipes, and even toy safety tips.

If you enjoy a bargain, be sure to visit Absolutely Free Christmas Craft Supplies, where you can order supplies from various companies free of charge or just for the cost of postage. The site isn't limited to Christmas supplies, so be sure to check out their free supplies in categories such as kids, Halloween, seniors, and sewing.

Finally, for a great listing of links to Christmas craft sites all over the Web, visit Santaland Crafts.
